The Therapy Guy

A space all of your own

Welcome to The Therapy Guy.

I’m a psychotherapist based in Colchester. I work to best provide a

space free of judgement to facilitate the co-creation of a way forward

and bring understanding to what is going on for you.

  • "I can't really recommend Guy enough: not only he's a respectful person that supports and helps you, he's also funny and trying always to make you think about what you're doing or thinking, providing insight rather than a direction. I don't know where I'll be without his support these days."

  • "Guy has helped me so much. I've always been terrified of the idea of therapy and that it would make me feel worse. But therapy really is helping. I'm glad I found the courage in the end"

  • "Good fit. He can relate to my situation. I would definitely recommend Guy."

  • I've been with Guy for a couple of years now and I'd highly recommend his services. Its nice to be able to connect with him on a personal level which makes me feel comfortable to share things.

  • Good lad, definitely understands my needs. I feel good talking about things that I don't get to discuss with people in my every day life

  • Have had a lot of struggle with therapists/going to therapy in the past but Guy has been amazing. He gives in depth responses but is not always overly serious so I feel way more comfortable talking to him. I’ve definitely seen an improvement within my life now that I have him as a therapist :)

  • During times when you're feeling low and lack someone to share your thoughts with, or when the absence of a support system leaves you isolated and unheard, coming across someone like Guy can be a real eye-opener. What sets Guy apart is his active involvement — he not only listens, but also takes steps to help you guide you out of the dark hole you might be in , providing a deep sense of rediscovering yourself again.

  • Guy is an amazing therapist!!!! Extremely understanding and very easy to get along with!

  • Where do I start, Guy has helped me grow as a man and helped me understand myself in ways I never have before, he’s helped me learn how to cope with the day to day stress and issues I’m faced with. I recommend guy to anyone suffering and In need of someone to confide in, he’s incredibly down to earth and relatable. Thank you Guy

  • Guy has been a wonderful space for me to explore my inner most thoughts in a safe, non judgemental and empathetic space. I've felt like he genuinely cares about my happiness and tries his best to understand and provide guidance in an honest, collaborative and constructive manner- I've enjoyed the practical weekly life homework he gives me as a way of applying the insights gleaned to daily life rather than it being just an intellectual conversation that doesn't actually lead to any real life changes. He's also got a great sense of humour and knows exactly what to say to lighten the mood if things seem too heavy. I feel confident now in moving forward in my life without therapy and am excited at the prospects - I do believe that the best therapists are ones that will be the guiding hand when life seems a struggle but will ultimately empower you to take ownership of your own life so that one day, you no longer need them - I know that Guy shares this belief too. Thank you for all your help Guy!

  • Really helped me overcome some big issues in my life, really easy to talk to, even have a laugh with, highly recommend Guy for anyone needing help out there!
